Hot Windy Wedding

So what kind of day would you like for your wedding? Would you like it hot enough so you feel your toes burning in your sandals? Or perhaps you prefer it to be a little cooler with winds to blow away your carefully planned hairdo? Well today I can offer you both!

The beautiful Eagle Ridge was host to our wedding today and the heat decided to rise as high as 41 degrees and stayed that way all the way until the groom finished reading out his well thought-out heartfelt vows to his gorgeous bride. And then it was her turn to declare her love to her handsome groom. But Mr Wind decided to make himself known right at that time…

Poor bride had to contend with holding open the scroll that contained her personal vows so she could read them out to her groom, deal with her voluptuous long red hair blowing around and her beautiful long veil which was about to take off! The veil had to be sacrificed but this still left an array of difficulties but she dealt with them well. With each gust of strong wind, which were getting closer together, she stopped to wait for it to die down so she could continue on.

But this extraordinary set of circumstances bought on the most special moment in the whole ceremony when the whole wedding party, 3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, 1 groom and 1 celebrant all came together around the bride to buffer her from the gale.

I felt very privileged to be a part of this! small.jpg
