Melbourne and local weddings
It was two very different weddings that I conducted today!
The first one this morning, was in a back yard, but let me tell you, it was the sort of back yard I would love to have…..with a waterfall behind us trickling down to a little creek filled with blue and white balloons and a beautifully decorated arbour.
This young couple had recently visited Scotland where the grooms heritage is so he managed to wear the family colours in his kilt. The bride wore a deep blue dress that was gorgeous and their little two year old son also wore a kilt. Oh and their other child, Cleo the ten year old German Shephard, was having a ball, lapping up all the attention and pats from the guests and of course me…
The second wedding was held at The Woolshed Pub on South Warf opposite Etihad Stadium and amongst the boats on the river and many apartment buildings.
There were lots of tears, not just from the bride and groom but from their 3 teenage kids, as well as mums and dad……
One thing that both of these weddings did have in common was that the weather gods favoured them well and after the spate of crazy weather we have been having lately, we are much appreciative!! And another is that both brides opted to wear non-traditional dresses and both looked stunning.comments powered by Disqus
