so so very hot

Such a hot hot hot day yesterday for my first wedding of the year! Although Morning Star Estate in Mornington hosts a lovely shaded chapel like area, which helped the guests feel a little more comfortable. And at the other end of the area is a beautiful water wall, almost inviting me to jump in for some relief...... but that would have just ruined the hair!

I normally feel sorry for the groom and his groomsmen on the warmer days as they are suited up but yesterday, I had to add some of the guests to the feel sorry for list as the bride (a new Australian) is originally from Canada and a lot of her family came out especially for the wedding, yes Canada, the country suffering a cold snap at the moment.

But other than the heat, everything else was perfect. The bride was stunning! With her long flowing veil, and her beautiful dress, but as she is such a beautiful person anyway, inside and out, she could have turned up in an old rag and still look stunning.

The groom and his groomsmen (including his son) and the bridesmaids (including grooms daughter) also looked fabulous.   I can't wait to see all the photos. And just to add to all the beauty, they had a sand ceremony based in the colors of the wedding theme of dark purple. The bride also included some small white shells from the beaches that she played on while growing up back in Vancouver.

Not even 40 degree heat could have spoilt such a wonderful wedding!
